Vamara Shetland Stud is situated in Hervey Bay, Queensland and is a
member of the Wide Bay Shetland Pony Promotion Group. All our ponies
are registered with the Australian Pony Studbook Society, Inc. Vamara
Stud has been breeding and showing shetland ponies successfully in
the Wide Bay region since 1992.

Regent" boasts imported Wells bloodlines. He has won eleven
Champions and four Supreme Championships in the Wide Bay. "Brulu
Regent" has now been broken in and is proving to be an excellent
saddle pony with a willing and gentle temperament. He has competed under
saddle for a 2 wins in 2007and 2008, you can't ask for more than that
for a newly broken in pony, and stallion no less.

Shetlands In The Ring
Vamara Shetland ponies are successful in the show ring in led classes,
under saddle, child handler and costume classes.
"Vamara Chloe" has 20 first places and several Champion
and Reserve Champions, and "Vamara Belle" has twelve
first places. Both ponies have won numerious prizes in child handler
and child rider classes and also in costume classes.
Our Newest Arrival!
On Friday the 3rd of November 2006
at 10.30pm "Vamara Chloe" had her first foal "Vamara
Nebular". A beautiful little black filly sired by "Koorootang
Galaxy". It was a very proud day for Vamara Stud as this little
filly is our first second generation Vamara pony. "Vamara Nebular"
is offered for sale due to not being tall enough for our bigger riders.
She is a 8.25h yearling of gentle nature ideal for the miniature breeder.
