About Glenraven Shetland Stud
Glenraven Shetland Stud is a proud member of the Wide Bay Shetland Pony Promotion Group and all it's ponies are registered with the "Australian Pony Studbook Society Inc".

We are situated on Booral Road in Hervey Bay, Queensland approximately 4 hours north of Brisbane.

Glenraven Shetland Stud ponies have been competing with success in the show ring since 1994, winning championships and numerous placings in led classes, under saddle, in sporting events and with child handlers. We aim to breed a true to type Shetland of good size, 10hh to 10.2hh, and temperment, sound and without fault suitable for riding.

Pictured at right, "Fenwick Sunshine", one of our good-natured geldings competting in the barrels at a recent show. Fenwick Sunshine has won Most Versitile Pony at the WBSPPG shows four times out of the five he has competed for it. Being beaten only once by a few points by one of our other ponies, Gar-won Abby.

Clanline Noddy
Standing at 9.3hh, he is a cremello with a beautiful temperment. CLANLINE NODDY is also registered with the "Dilutes Australia Ltd" and the "Australian Miniature Horse Association Ltd"

Noddy's first "Glenraven"foal arrived on the 13th of August 2007 out of our chestnut mare GAR-WON ABBY.
A very handsome palomino colt, GLENRAVEN MAJESTIC. Majestic is also duel registered with "Dilutes Australia Ltd"and has done quite well in palomino classes.

GAR-WON ABBY foaled again in 2008 to CLANLINE NODDY this time giving us a beautiful big palomino filly GLENRAVEN LADY DELILAH. Noddy serviced two of our mares this season, KOOROOTANG WIDGET and GLENRAVEN EMPRESS. If Empress foals it will be our first foal from a home breed pony which will be very exciting, it doesn't look too promising for her though as her tummy is not as big as I would have thought it to be but only time will tell.

Show Results
May 2008 we competed at the Maryborough Ag Show. It was Glenraven Majestic's first show and he did very well winning 1st Shetland colt and Res Champion Shetland colt/stallion, 1st palomino colt and Champion palomino colt/stallion and first district colt/stallion. Our filly Glenraven Empress won first shetland filly and Res Champion Shetland mare/filly. And good old Fenwick Sunshine won the shetland gelding and was 2nd ridden shetland.

A few days later we took the same three ponies to Bundaberg Show and again did very well. Glenraven Majestic won a neck full of ribbions. He was 1st sheltand colt and Res Champion Shetland colt/stallion and 1st palomino colt and Champion palomino colt/stallion beating a very nice part arab palomino colt. This time Glenraven Empress was 2nd shetland filly. Sunshine again won the shetland gelding and was 2nd palomino gelding placing between two very large palomino quater horses.

Also in May we competed in the Wide Bay Shetland Pony Promotion Groups show held in Gunulda. Our ponies went in the ring many times and came away with many ribbions and trophies. The highlight of the day was Fenwick Sunshine winning the Most Versitile Pony award for the fourth time. Sunshine didn't miss a single action event the whole day. For full results and photos of the day see the WBSPPG's site, link at bottom of page.
