For more
than two thousand years, red raspberry has been considered a healer.
It has really gained popularity since the 1940's when it became the herb
for pregnancies. Red Raspberry contains nutrients to strengthen
the uterus wall that assist in labour and delivery. It makes much
stronger contractions as it cuts down on haemorrhaging. It also brings
down the milk and enriches the colostrum.
Even
though it is mainly known as the 'pregnancy' herb, it is also known to
be good for bowel problems and stomach aches. Red Raspberry contains
vitamins A, D, E, G, F and B. It is rich in iron and contains phosphorus,
magnesium and a high amount of calcium.
BENEFITS OF USING RASPBERRY LEAF
The births have not been faster in overall hours involved, usually 2 to
4 hours, but much easier for the queens. The contractions are a great
deal stronger and the kittens are born with one, or at the most, two contractions
once the head has appeared, with breech kittens being equally as easy.
Breech births are not abnormal. The only complication with
breech births is when the mum is tired and the contractions are getting
weaker, the head jams and is difficult to free when the queen panics a
little. Common sense and keeping your cool plus assisting the mum
enables these kittens to be born 99% of the time. It is found that
when using Raspberry Leaf this rarely ever happens as the girls had stronger
contractions to aid them.
It
is recommended to to give half a capsule daily once you know the cat is
pregnant and increasing the dose to one a day in the last two weeks of
pregnancy. Keep giving the Raspberry Leaf tablet of one a day, after
two weeks after the birth. Now the important question. Where
does one get Raspberry Leaf? You should be able to easily obtain
these tablets from a health food shop, but be careful as some have SENNA
in them, as this is a laxative and is the last thing that you want.
