A Canadian prairie farm girl by birth, Barb has lived in Australia since 1994. Barb started composing music with her first Hurdy Gurdy in 1998. Since then, she has written music for theatre, dance and circus performance, and has released her 3rd independent album. She sings as well as plays Hurdy Gurdy, Accordion and keys. She has performed with Hub Bub and “Sprocket” street theatre/musical show. She has toured 4 times in Europe, 3 times in Canada with 2 solo tours in New Zealand. She regularly plays at Australian folk festivals and self organized tours of Australia.
Her current music compositions range from Circus and gypsy influenced, avant garde, new classical and experimental. "Avant Garden" is her current band.
