That is, the Spirit is the Love between the Father and Son. Just as the knowing-himself is absolute, so also is the Love between Father and Son. This absoluteness of Love is the Person of the Spirit, the loving-between-Father-and-Son. The Spirit issues from the Father and the Son. Such are the Persons of the Godhead. Thus, we say that God is Existence; God is Knowledge; God is Love. The second Person, the Son, is the Person of Jesus, the Christ - He Who became Man. Herein, lies a fabulous meaning for mankind. Christ is God-made-man. He is not a pretend man. He is a 100% human being just as you and I are - no less and no more. Yet, if He is God, how then can He be Man? I am a person. You are a person. We are created in the image of God. The Father is our Father. Just as the Father loves Me, so I love you, says Jesus. (John 15:9.9) Father, may they be one in us, as you are in me and I am in you, He also prays (John 17:21) Further, . . . that they may be one as we are one. Just as the Father loves Jesus, so He loves you and me. God made us in His likeness. It is our destiny to be one with Him, just as the Father and the Son are one. The Person of the Son became truly man. These points tell us something about your person and mine.
If your person is the Father's-knowing-you, then we can glimpse the reality that Jesus is truly God and truly man.
Just as the Person of the Son is the Father knowing-himself, so is your person the Father knowing-you. As we have noted, God sees things perfectly and absolutely. The Father knows you and me perfectly and absolutely. He knows us from the first instant of our creation and for every instant thereafter - every single thought, every word, every action, every moment of our being from go to woe. While we can point to the Person of the Son and the person of a human with such a comparison, it is quite clear that this does not put us on an equal level. There is an immeasurable difference between the Son and me, and that immeasurable distance applies to the Person of the Son and to the person of me.
The fact does, however, highlight many stunning matters.
For instance, the Father has always known you and me, absolutely, including prior to our conception.
The Father absolutely knows us from eternity.
There never was a time (using 'time' for eternity) when He did NOT know us. That is, your person and mine has always existed and, bearing in mind the immortal souls God has given us, we will always exist.
However, our persons existed as part of the knowledge of the Father, prior to our existence in the flesh, or in the spirit
