Work of Christ: God's Plan

On the death of Jesus, the father of death must have reckoned on another battle well won. The 'battle', however, was lost to Satan when Christ was born, for physical death had become a part of creation, and having been born, Christ was doomed to die.

lost people. No, the purpose of sharing humanity with us, was to die.

Being man He accepted death,
- being the Son-of-man -
but also being Christ, as God,
He resumed His Godliness.
He bridged the chasm!

In resuming His Godliness, the way was opened for the rest mankind to follow. We could, not so much follow, but to reach eternal-life with and in Him
The predicament of man could not contain God Himself nor could evil hold out against this Man.
On the death of Jesus, the father of death must have reckoned on another battle well won, even if that taste of victory was false and short-lived.

The battle, however, was lost to Satan
when Christ was born,

for physical death had become a part of creation, and having been born, Christ was doomed to die. What made every difference was that

the Person of Christ
is God,

something the devil obviously did not realise.
However, the life of Christ was still more than that, for God had said,
let Us make man in Our likeness'. While the Old Testament foretold the Messiah, the fullness of creation had also to be fulfilled.
And, in becoming man, God completed His intention of making
man in Our Own likeness.
We have already noted this most marvellous of facts.
So Christ was the fulfilment of prophecy, but also the completion of creation.
He is the 'way'.
God did for us what we were unable to do.
Thus, the intentions of God reveal themselves. The Plan of God, coming to fruition, as prepared from the instant of creation.

God's Plan

God made man, perfectly. God made the whole of creation, perfectly.
Yet, while man and angel were the peak of His creation, there was more He could do. In his natural state of harmony, man was much more than a robot. Yet, man was somewhat automatic in his natural state of harmony even as a creature, created perfectly.
There was no exercise of freewill in that there was no choice of any great moment. Man was like the wild creatures and the plants. His adoration of the Creator was a thing automatic, natural.
It was for this reason that the impulsing universe reached a stage where the ultimate creature in all ways, Lucifer, came to the point of seeking his own kingdom with his own subjects.
His own greatness sponsored the pride which lead to the temptation to take for himself this most worthy of subjects, man.
Like many a person, today, Lucifer saw himself as being a more worthy object of adoration than God, Himself; just as many, today, reckon they could do a better job than God
