and who are we not to also love them?
Christ did say to love our enemies, do good to them that hate you - this is exactly what He meant, not a watered down version. Mat. 5:44.
If we bear in mind that Love of God is not a verb and that it is a nown,
then things become clearer. Then, we will not say I love you but we will say you and I share the Love of God! Love is the balance of the spiritual creation. All things are maintained in harmony by the impulse of love, and love is the difference. It is authority and does move nations. Most of all love moves God, Himself. The balance that is love, in the spiritual sphere, is seen more clearly when we consider love in the material sphere, detailed further in the following chapter. As we have noted, creation is made up of three basic fabrics, which we have called fabgood. Each of these fabrics has an energy, which is impulse. Each fabric is based on the concept of existence, truth and love. With the Holy Trinity, Existence and Truth are attracted one to another, and this attraction is Love. But the Love in the Divinity attracts both Father and Son. So too, then, in the created basic fabrics. The created basic unit of existence and knowledge are attracted one to another, while the unit of love attracts both - that is, everything.
The impulse (the energy) of the fabgood of love, in the material creation, includes what we call gravity.
This energy impulse is what holds the molecules together, what keeps the earth in orbit around the sun, what keeps our feet firmly on the ground. The fabgood of love is the balance, maintaining harmony, holding the unceasing movements of creation in order. This attraction to and for all things comes from the basic fabric of material love. Just as this impulse is central for order in material creation, so is spiritual love essential to spiritual order.
And the Love that is God, is the balance of both - the thread throughout all creation, that is, Harmony, Itself.
