So, the sea, the land, the atmosphere, and indeed the total system of the planet, are a part of our past, our present and our future; a real part of ourselves. The planetary system, including the moon and the sun, play an important role in the make-up of man, as we all know. Procreation is a part of this whole planetary system, a natural part. Because of the magnitude of the importance of procreation to the survival of the race,
it became, of necessity, a pleasurable part of living.
That is, the pleasure of procreation is secondary and subordinate to, the urgency of survival. Procreation is also a physical extension of the love between a man and a woman and 'love-making' is an apt description of it. More so, when it is recalled that
the man and woman act in cooperation with God towards forming new life.
Thus, the human love during intercourse, is intertwined with the Love of God. What can be more generous; what is a greater act of charity towards our neighbour (so to speak), than in sharing life, itself, with others, yet unborn?
Procreation is a wondrous prayer. Procreation can be summed up as:
- reproduction of human life for the survival of the species, in cooperation with God; - the physical extension of human, joined with Divine, love; - an act of pleasure. Of course, there are other aspects of sex which stem from these and there are other aspects which oppose these. Like all magnificent things, man and the devil have been able to twist sex, too, into something evil, whether out of lust, sexual deviation or otherwise. However, the above three aspects of sex were original and misuse and abuse followed.
Abuse of the sex act mostly stems from the removal of the supreme role of reproduction or exclusion of love from it, leaving sex as an act of pleasure, only.
This is a tendency in today's era as much as any other, (probably more so), but with a difference:- the deliberate aim for division between man and woman, worldwide. This division intends to intensify the trend of excluding reproduction and love from procreation. This leaves only one thing: lust. Excluding reproduction and love from procreation leads to the conclusion of the need for the sex act. And once the very reason for the sex act is rejected then the resulting pleasure will also become a lost ingredient. Indeed, abuse of the act of procreation will also result in increased difficulties in attaining pregnancies.
In short, procreation is pleasurable because it is an act of reproduction and of love.
